Mid Wales went down 5-4 to a very good Caernarfon and Anglesey Team on Sunday. Well done to all our girls who played some fantastic golf in warm conditions. Thank you to Builth Wells GC for their hospitable welcome.
The Seniors Stableford was held at St Giles GC on the 18 May 2025. Apologies for the delay in updating the website. Congratulations to Barbara Reece from Borth and Ynyslas on winning the Peggy Heighway Jones Trophy with 36 points. Cat winner was Ellen Jones from Welshpool; Cat B was Maggie Cadwallader from Welshpool; Cat C was Chris Davies from St. Giles
The Stableford competition was held at Cradoc Golf Club on the 14 June. Congratulations to Esther Prytherch of Borth & Ynyslas who takes home the Welshpool Crystal as overall winner.
NB. Please note there will be NO food available apart from Coffee cold drinks and snacks from behind the bar. You are more than welcome to bring your own food to eat in the club house before or after playing.
Perfect conditions greeted us where we were hosted superbly at Borth & Ynyslas yesterday. Congratulations to Janet Price, Gross Trophy winner and to Margaret Bowen on winning the Nett Salver and to all the other winners and competitors. The hosts with a team of Catrin Pugh Jones, Karen Evans and Anne Morris took the team shield. Thank you all for your support.

Two days of weather not to be complained about were in store for our championship held over the weekend hosted excellently by Builth Wells Golf Club. There were some tough games but coming out on top was Sherrie Edwards-21 years since she last took home the silverware.
Thank you to all the competitors and supporters and to Builth for hosting. We look forward to seeing how the team fare in 2025. The first match will be against Denbighshire and Flintshire at Wrexham GC on the 11 May.

Congratulations to Lucy from Llanidloes Golf Club on winning our Junior Championship on Saturday. Lucy also qualified for the ladies championship and made it to the semi-finals and has been selected for the County Squad. Well done Lucy and good luck for the year ahead!
Thanks go to Penrhos for hosting the Teams of Three today. You certainly laid on the sunshine for us!

The start sheet for the County Championships and Medal at Builth next Sat/Sun has been published and we look forward to seeing you at the competition following that which is the Spring Medal at Borth & Ynyslas on the 26 April. With the sun shining hopefully those clubs are getting a dust down and you are raring to get on the golf course ladies. We’ve number of competitions coming up in April and entries are open.
Your league captains will have received the 2025 rules, group draw, contact sheet and results sheet. This year the format will be Greensomes. The rules, draw info and a copy of the results sheet are also up on the Handicap League page. Please contact Mair Walker, League Organiser with any queries.
